Industry modes

An in-home care agency and a taqueria do not run the same payroll

An industry mode changes what PayPulse watches for, what it asks during setup, and what it warns you about before you approve. It is not a marketing label on the same generic product.

Running in the demo

Healthcare & home care

Visit-based hours across multiple sites, shift differentials, and overtime that creeps in when a caregiver covers a gap.

The seeded company, BrightPath Care Services, runs in this mode: 18 caregivers and office staff across two Southern California locations, biweekly, with evening shift differentials, overtime from shift covers, and a bilingual workforce.

What this mode does

  • Location and visit-based hours
  • Shift differentials
  • Overtime alerts before approval
  • Credential expiry tracking (planned)

Credential-expiry tracking is in the data model and the roadmap, not in this build. It is listed here as planned rather than shown as working.

Previews

Modes that are designed but not built

These are honest previews of intended behaviour. They are not wired to the seeded company, and we would rather say so than dress up a static screen as a feature.

Why we draw the line here

It would be easy to render five identical screenshots with different words on them. A payroll product that is not honest about what it does yet has already failed the only test that matters, so the modes that are not built say so.
